Enchanting lakes on one side and top snorkeling sea on the other side.
Impeccable bungalows, Lily's a great cook, decks to watch the sunset and sunrise for hours.
Visit villages where they hardly see any tourists (you are the attraction), hike up the mountain, boat around the mirror lakes and see the occasional crocodile wjile the colourful parrots circle around you.
Like a lot of locally owned hotels on Solomon, Leleana is small (we were alone), feels like home and the owners do everything they can to make you feel welcome. They appreciate when you book directly (via Booking/touroperators, they loose a huge percentage!), your booking helps support them, their families and local communities.
(Tip: bring your own wine/beer/soft drinks from Gizo/Honiara or Munda if you like those, as most small resorts don't sell it, moslty religion related. And not all have snorkeling gear.)
