‘Vinarpoha’…a place of gathering, is a stunning setting with a high timber-vaulted ceiling and featured carvings, highlighting the beauty of our many natural resources on Kolombangara Island.

About Us
Owner/ Manager Ms Lily Duri Ita always had a vision, a dream she has bought to fruition.
Lily started by establishing the most picturesque garden settings, including orchid gardens, shrub-lined pathways and parklands, which set the tone for this location as a resort venue: one of beauty, peace and harmony with nature, lake, mountain & ocean surrounds.
‘Women in Business’ has been a key motivating factor for Ms Lily Duri Ita who has always aspired to transforming the beautiful location of Minana (meaning ‘blessing’) into a tourist destination and a resort built on ‘making a difference’. Her leadership and builder Thomas Hill’s craftsman-ship have combined to create an exceptional quality resort…and, Lily chose the best possible location!
Leleana Resort is nestled between natural lakes beneath the Heribangara mountain range, with natural cooling breezes across the lake to the resort. On the southern side is an ocean cove that provides pristine blue waters, an amazing array of marine life & gentle rolling waves. Ideal for snorkeling or fishing within a few short steps!

"A Very Unique Experience!”
We stayed 5 nights with Lily at Leleana Resort. Lily not only cooked for us, but she also suggested outings each day,
and where possible, she'd join us or encourage us to tag along with her as she went about her errands.
This experience was a little like staying with family and by the end of our five days, we felt like we were part of Lily's family.
A huge highlight was being able to snorkel and free dive off a nearby island as well as snorkel outside the Leleana bungalows. The water is about 30 degrees and just the most stunning shade of blue that I've ever seen!
It was such a unique experience!

Wouldn’t have missed this resort. Magical place, perfect host, organic and fresh food. Clean and clean water.

After visiting family in Honiara, we were up to experiencing an authentic pacific island feeling.
We chose Leleana Resort at the island of Kolombangara. What a beautiful place it was.
Sleeping in a house on stilts on the beach, on one side with the sound of the surf coming from the ocean
and on the other side the sounds of birds. The location is magical.
The host Lily is doing everything to make yourself feel at home and organises real fun trips.
The food she is serving is coming right out of her organic garden and fresh from the sea.
We will be definitely coming back one day.
The effort of the 25-hour flight from Amsterdam was certainly worth it.
